The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the exam schedule for the RRB NTPC Undergraduate (UG) Recruitment 2026. The update brings clarity for thousands of candidates preparing for the first stage of the selection process.
According to the official notification, the Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) will be conducted in multiple phases between May and June 2026. The first phase is scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9, followed by the second phase on June 13 and 14. The final phase will take place from June 16 to June 21. This phased approach will help manage the large number of applicants across exam centers. Notably, a similar phased system is being followed in other major exams, including the SSC GD 2026 exam schedule.
The CBT 1 exam will include 100 questions covering General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the test. There will also be negative marking, with one-third of a mark deducted for each incorrect answer. Meanwhile, candidates exploring other opportunities can also check updates on SSC Phase 14 recruitment 2026.
RRB will release the city intimation slip around 10 days before the exam, allowing candidates to plan their travel in advance. Admit cards are expected to be available 4 to 5 days before the exam date. Candidates must carry a printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center.
A key update this year is the introduction of Aadhaar-based biometric verification at exam centres. Candidates must ensure that their identification details match official records to avoid issues during entry.
The selection process includes CBT 1, CBT 2, skill or aptitude tests, followed by document verification and a medical examination. With the exam approaching, candidates should focus on revision and regular mock practice.
