The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has officially declared the Madhyamik Result 2026 today, May 8. Students who appeared for the West Bengal Class 10 board examinations can now check their scorecards online through the official websites WB Results Portal and WBBSE Official Website.
This year, the overall pass percentage reached 86.83%, slightly higher than last year’s 86.56%. Abhirup Bhadra from Uttar Dinajpur secured the top rank with an impressive score of 698 marks, achieving 99.71%. Meanwhile, Kalimpong emerged as the top-performing district with a pass percentage of 95.10%.
Students can access their provisional marksheets using their roll number and date of birth. Apart from the official websites, results are also available through DigiLocker and SMS services.
To check the result online, students should open the official portal and click on the Madhyamik Result 2026 link. After entering the required credentials, the marksheet will appear on the screen. Students should download and save a copy for future admission use.
This year, over 9.6 lakh students appeared for the examination. The merit list included 131 students across 19 districts. Boys recorded a slightly higher pass percentage than girls, although both groups showed strong academic performance statewide.
Students must score at least 34% overall and pass each subject individually to clear the examination. Those who fail in one or two subjects can apply for compartment examinations expected in July 2026.
The online marksheet is provisional, while schools will distribute original certificates separately. Additionally, the board will soon open applications for scrutiny and re-evaluation.
