JEE Advanced 2026 Question Paper Released at jeadv.ac.in; Expected Cut-Off and Exam Analysis Here

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has officially released the JEE Advanced 2026 question papers for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the national-level engineering entrance exam can now download the PDFs without any login credentials.

JEE Advanced 2026 was conducted on May 17 in two shifts across India. Paper 1 took place from 9 AM to 12 Noon, while Paper 2 was held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Since both papers were compulsory, students had to appear in both sessions to qualify for ranking.

According to early student reactions, the overall difficulty level of the JEE Advanced 2026 paper ranged from moderate to difficult. Mathematics was reportedly the toughest and most time-consuming section. Meanwhile, Physics focused heavily on conceptual application, whereas Chemistry included several tricky and analytical questions.

The Paper 1 pattern included Single Correct Questions, Multiple Correct Questions, Matrix Match Questions, and Integer-Type Questions. Similarly, Paper 2 also featured paragraph-based questions along with MCQs and numerical problems.

Alongside the release of the question papers, coaching experts have also shared the expected JEE Advanced 2026 cut-off marks. As per early analysis, the expected qualifying cut-off for the General category may range between 93 and 100 marks out of 360. In comparison, OBC-NCL and EWS candidates may require around 83 to 90 marks. For SC, ST, and PwD categories, the expected cut-off may remain between 46 and 51 marks.

However, experts have clarified that clearing the minimum cut-off only guarantees a rank. Students usually need significantly higher marks to secure admission into top IITs and popular branches.
