India Post has officially released the GDS 3rd Merit List 2026 for candidates who applied for the Gramin Dak Sevak recruitment drive. Applicants can now check their selection status through the official portal. The recruitment aims to fill 28,740 vacancies for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak posts across different postal circles in India.
Meanwhile, the latest merit list includes shortlisted candidates from Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and North East postal circles. According to official updates, around 6,690 candidates received provisional selection in this round.
Candidates can download the merit list PDF from the official website by selecting their state or postal circle. The PDF includes the registration number, division name, post name, category, and marks obtained.
Additionally, applicants should carefully verify all details mentioned in the merit list. India Post prepared the selection list entirely on the basis of Class 10 marks. Therefore, the recruitment process did not include any written examination.
Shortlisted candidates must complete document verification by May 26, 2026. Candidates need to carry original certificates, valid ID proof, and two sets of photocopies to their divisional office.
After verification, authorities will also conduct a medical examination. Final appointment will depend on successful completion of both stages.
Salary Details and Next Updates
Candidates selected for BPM posts will receive salaries between ₹12,000 and ₹29,380. Similarly, selected ABPM and Dak Sevak candidates will receive salaries ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹24,470.
